Hurricane Helene caused severe damage in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has deployed a National Response Team to Tampa Bay Presbytery, Presbytery of Western North Carolina, Northeast Georgia Presbytery, and Holston Presbytery. Winter Coat and Thanksgiving Food Drive

DROP OFF: November 11-13 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The CoatsGiving program by North Fulton Community Charities helps local families during the holiday season by providing essentials for a Thanksgiving meal and winter coats to stay warm. Thanks to your support, over 500 families will have warm hearts and full plates this season.

New or GENTLY used winter coats for babies, children, teens and adults in all sizes.
New or GENTLY used winter accessories: hats, gloves, scarves and new socks in all sizes.

Churchwide Volunteer Day
Packing Food for Guatemala
Saturday, January 25, 2025
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Alderman Hall

Join us for a Churchwide Volunteer Day to pack food for our partners in Guatemala with Kids Against Hunger! This event is open to elementary-age kids to adults – the more the merrier!

Two shifts available:
10:00 a.m. – noon
1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
You can also stay from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. to help with cleanup.

Border Encounter to El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico

Dates: October 29 — 31.

Participate in Through the Border Encounter by traveling to El Paso, Texas to see with your own eyes as we are guided by Tres Rios and Abara House.

Cost: $600 which includes accommodation, transportation, and meals during the 3 day encounter. Flights to and from El Paso and meals on travel days will be additional.

Though the Border Encounter is Three days in order to get to El Paso in time and be there for the duration it will be necessary to arrive on Monday October 28 and return to Atlanta on Friday November 1.

A Passport is required for all participants as we will be crossing into Juarez, Mexico as part of the itinerary.

Looking for a way to give back?

 

Are you looking for a way you and a group can give back to the community without waiting for a scheduled event with RPC? You can select from one of the following options.

 

Make Sandwiches

Volunteer from at home with a group of any size to benefit The Sandwich Project. Assemble sandwiches no earlier than Tuesdays, for drop-off on Wednesdays. They are distributed on Thursdays for consumption.

Deliver Soup

Souper Jenny of Roswell is supporting the community by providing soup to the families of the CDA. By delivering soup you will be helping provide the families of the CDA with a healthy meal selection from the restaurant Souper Jenny.

Pick-Up is Between 10:30am-11am
at Souper Jenny Roswell.
