Join Roswell Presbyterian Church Wit & Wisdom group as we travel to beautiful western North Carolina to the Presbyterian Church National Conference Center at Montreat, NC.
Spend three days and two nights in the Historic Assembly Inn Hotel (renovated in 2018), enjoy breakfast and dinner in the renowned Galax dining room, enjoy the story telling of one of North Carolina’s Premiere Celtic and Folk Storyteller, Bobbie Pell, learn about the Presbyterian Historical Foundation, visit the Shops at Montreat, stroll through a vibrant entertainment hub in the heart of Asheville, brimming with independent shops, farm-fresh eateries, and a remarkably distinctive mountain vibe, or as an option (additional cost of $75/person) visit and tour the magnificent Biltmore Estates. All this and the fun and excitement of spending time and enjoying conversation with a group of friends and new acquaintances that are a part of Wit & Wisdom at Roswell Pres.
Traveling by Luxurious Motor-Coach the group will leave on Wednesday morning, stop for lunch at the famous “Rib-Country Bar-B-Q” in route, and arrive early afternoon for check in and exploring Montreat as we prepare for a delicious dinner, followed by a delightful storytelling presentation presented by Bobbie Pell, Celtic and Folk Storyteller. A night sleeping in a wonderful hotel enjoying the cool mountain air gives way to a hearty breakfast, followed by a day in either downtown Asheville or at Biltmore Estates. Then back to Black Mountain and Montreat for dinner and tour of the Presbyterian History Center at Montreat, and a much needed nights rest. Friday brings another full breakfast at Galax, another couple hours exploring Montreat and enjoying the fall foilage, and then it’s back home to tell friends about the wonderful trip they missed, and show everyone the great pictures we took of our time together.
